Dental Assistant
Duties and Responsibilities: A dental assistant is required to perform various task. Most of them have to keep track of records or perform exams or test. Some type of scan they may perform will be x-rays. They all work inside dental offices and also they schedule appointments for the patients to meet with the dentist. A dental assistant provides assistance to the Dentist. They sometimes will have to prepare a patient for an operation or help the dentist with the actual operation by passing materials and such.
Salary: $34,500
Education: It vary from state to state. Some states don’t require formal education while other require a person to graduate from an accredited program as well as pass an exam.

Demand: The current demand is at 18%, which is higher than most other jobs.

Reflection: I would not want to be a dental assistant because there duties seem tedious and dull. I would rather be the person performing the actual operation then to just stand in the sidelines and watch.  The average pay is also low but then again much education isn’t required. Maybe i would do it as a side job just to earn extra money during college, but I wouldn’t choose it as an actual career path.
