"Education is the latch key to success in life"


Education is by far one of the most powerful tools you can own in life. Without it we wouldn't be able to think for ourselves or create our own thoughts. Education helps us be a successful person because we become self aware with what were doing. Everything we do now has a purpose and we are sure of it. With our education we wont doubt ourselves as much. Or seek others for help, because we know we ourselves are capable of being successful. We are also able to further evolve our skills and abilities. We may even discover things about ourselves that we didn't know. With it no one else is in control but us. We get to choose our decisions and we know they are the right ones due to our education. You get to prosper and grow as a person with education. We understand more of the world around us an we aren't so clueless anymore.  

An example is with slaves. Many of them weren't educated and able to form thoughts for themselves or fight back. The ones that were educated knew what they were going through and thus rebelled in a peaceful way to get what they wanted. Martin Luther King is an example as he was well educated and succeeded in helping with the civil rights movement.

Soil Toxicity I choose the topic because it is something i am knowledgeable and because the information is still fresh in my mind. The soil around our community has been infected by various toxins, one of these mainly being lead. Lead is naturally found within our soil along with other metals such as Zinc and Arsenic. Lead is measured in a unit known as parts per million. Parts per million, or ppm for short, is a conversion for milligram per  cubic meter. The normal range for lead is currently at about 15-40 parts per million according to the EPA. After a experiment was performed we realized that the homes within our community have around 115 parts per million of soil, which is above the american average. According to the EPA, once lead reaches 400 ppm then it becomes a danger to us and once it reaches 1200 ppm then the area needs to be closed off as it become a serious health hazard.
